I have been working for 55 years at a variety of jobs from paper boy to VP of several high technology companies in Silicon Valley. I just retired, although I prefer to say that I am on vacation. Retiring sounds like you are
done, finished, out to pasture. I am not. In a later article I will give more specific details (15 different jobs), but what I want to write about now is a list of things I have found to be good ideas, or suggestions to help one to be
successful in business. Obviously this list will not be all inclusive, and also all of the suggestions will not apply to all jobs. I have been in management for most of my career so success in management may be more of the theme for this
blog. Some of these suggestions may sound like they are tricks for being successful without being brilliant, or the best at what you do (or are supposed to do) and maybe they are tricks. So what? If you get the job and get the job done you
have been successful.
